It's been a long time since i wrote a review and since this game has a lot of potential i figure i'll throw in my 2 cents.

First off there should have been at least another entire act where the missions were not to difficult and rewards were actually army pieces rather then gold... as soon as i finished act 1 i found myself repeating quest 1 again to grind for gold as i couldn't even come close to beating first mission of act 2 with what i had at least in the amount of time and experience i had i couldn't figure out how to beat it before getting some good stuff from boosters.

Secondly whats with online its pretty much just a random draw of straws you have no idea what your opponent is bringing to the table so forget any prep or strategy to the online you just have to hope your current set-up beats theirs and then you lose and there is nothing to learn from it since your next opponent could be the complete opposite and you won't know till you fight them.

Thirdly fighting the CPU in game is ridiculous i'm currently stuck on the last level of act 3 I've switched my guys and equips around in over 50 different way and none of it works ... you really don't know your enemy stats either (to know there weakness) unless you have those exact same equips as them and know what they are using. So more info about the fight ahead/ maybe a hint or help for playing finding themselves stuck.

Lastly i want to touch on the 1000 army size. For me this ruined the game a bit. Imagine the super army you could create with all the stuff you unlock sadly you won't get to even tap into 1/4 of the power you have due to this 1000 restriction. I mean come on when 1 legendary weapon is worth 100 of your army whats the sense in that if it isn't technological restriction the go big or go home. You could just set deck strengths for missions ie. Act 1 mission 1 your army must be at least 100 strength to fight this could very between levels and adds more strategizing because you can't always work with the same exact army. This is another easy thing to adept to online because you simply make tiers ie. solider league 500 army strength, advanced league 1000 army strength, elite 1500 army strength etc.

Couple more quick things. I felt disappointed in the strength of some unit after they were equipped. I feel like if you are using legendary equips your player should be much stronger but they still seem to die so easy which in turn makes spending the extra 50-100 points on them unless.

Felt like some of the base times for magic are dumb 35 seconds most of my matches don't go close to that and although there is obviously equips to use to counter this i think it would be better to drop damage and have it happen more often then having some 1 time magic user that isn't viable without other equips. (which cost a lot thus you have to sacrifice elsewhere)

Lastly i couldn't get past 3 on the ladder which i think is probably were the majority get left at between 2 and 3 which is also annoying because what can you really because like i said before you don't know what your going to encounter so how can i hope to keep winning and rank up?

I wouldn't be surprised is some people had a wildly different experience then me as a lot of what you can do is depended of boosters which leaves a lot of variety between each user.

The good thing is there are tons of ways to improve the game so if you ever make a sequel or continue with this game the sky is the limit but personally unless you touched on some of the things i mentions i wouldn't be interested in a sequel.

cheers

That is a lot of words and I'm not sure where to start. Well, first of all, thanks a lot for taking the time to write all this!

After collecting a lot of feedback we'll be retouching the campaign rewards slightly to make it a bit more standalone. it won't solve everything, players will still have to find the right strategy to beat some of the act 3 fights, but it should smoothen the learning curve a bit.

A lot of the rest you mentioned boils down to balancing decisions, the 1k limit is there because it's a strategy game, you need to have a limit or then its just whoever has the best cards in the largest amount, and some items are costed accordingly.

We plan on making a new update soon, at least before we release it to other sites, hopefully it will answer most of the concerns voiced so far!
